Programs For Our Community

Continuing with this model, in 2091-2020, the NCAI  launched a  STEAM (Science. Technology. Engineering. Arts. Math.) Education Experience Working in partnership Chatham Center for Innovation, our advisory board, and other state and local non-profits, NCAI developed and was working to deliver a series of arts programs targeted to advancing STEAM education in our community and across the state.

Our goal is to build creative thinking muscles and innovation skills in our community that will create a pipeline of knowledge workers in rural areas that can then take advantage of today’s remote working opportunities

NCAI saw an opportunity to recruit students within Title I schools in Chatham County and matching professional artists with the students to demonstrate STEAM enrichment activities and opportunities. We partnered with the Chatham Center for Innovation, a magnet high school that focuses on the development of academic and social skills in order to create globally competitive students.

As a response to COVID, the NCAI is working with community and arts organizations across Chatham County to provide classroom space and access to technology.
